→ Where Boredom Meets Procrastination: Just Wondering.
Okay, to start off with, I know a lot of people that are happier as Christians. But I’m not going to go on and on about that. First off, the bible isn’t meant to be taken literally, it is to be interpreted Mark 16:17-18 says “and these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” Now, there are Christians that take that literal and handle snakes and let them bite them, they took it way to literal. It isn’t saying that you should pick up snakes and drink poision, it’s saying that miraculous things happen to those who follow Christ. Okay, so I understand that Pascal’s Wager probably won’t convince anyone to come to Christianity. Believing in more than one God is going to make you worse of statistically. I’m pretty sure that every other God is going to be just as unhappy as our God if you believe in other religions besides theirs. I’m ready to accept my being wrong, but I’ll be happy I’m wrong because I followed what I truly believed in. But before I became a Christian, I used to think like you did, it’s better to believe in every God, instead of just one. But that’s not right. Me personally, and a lot other Christians are opposed to people being gay, but we’re not going to stop you or judge, because it’s not our place to judge you. Those of us like that usually don’t agree with people like that preacher that wanted to put all gays and lesbians into electrified fences and kill them off. I definitely don’t agree with the Westboro baptist church either. They take it to far and don’t have the right to judge anyone. I wasn’t really trying to put any proof out there about Christ in that post, it was a simple rant. I didn’t even expect a reply. If you want proof, look to science. They have proof of all sorts of biblical events. Jesus was God’s physical form. God is purposeful and even in the beginning of the old testament, if you looked at it in Hebrew, it talks about Jesus being on the cross. Even then. You put up a good bit of points, I honestly wasn’t looking really to start anything or get any replies, but I suppose I should have expected it.

It’s their choice, not mine. If that’s what they wish, then who am I to say what they do. I’m against it personally though I won’t condemn someone for it, it’s not my right to judge them. |
